My Story

I've always been someone who prefers to roll up my sleeves and figure things out. Growing up, I moved around quite a bit—from Georgia to California, Fort Worth to England, and back to Texas—but through all those changes, one thing remained constant: my curiosity about how things work and my drive to make them better. After studying at Texas A&M, I chose to pursue a career as an electrician, and that decision opened doors to a world of technical skills and problem-solving opportunities that have shaped everything I do today.

From 1992 to 1996, I had the privilege of mentoring under experienced professionals who taught me not just the technical side of the trade, but the importance of doing work that lasts. I opened my own company in 2000, and over the years, I've worked on residential, commercial, and industrial electrical projects. I've installed home theater systems, intercom systems, central vacuum systems, doorbell systems, and low-voltage controls. I've wired homes, repaired ceiling fans, and troubleshot internet, TV, and phone systems. I've laid ceramic and porcelain tile, mowed lawns, trimmed trees, and repaired fences. I even spent time as an energy manager, helping homeowners assess their power use and find ways to lower their bills.

In 2015, my wife Deanna and I started building our own home, with my father-in-law carrying most of the load—I'm grateful for his help and expertise. That experience was transformative. We discovered that when you take your time, pay attention to the details, and genuinely care about the outcome, you can create something more beautiful and more durable than what you'd get from rushing through a project. We realized that the care and craftsmanship we brought to our own home was exactly what other homeowners deserved—but rarely received from contractors who were simply trying to move on to the next job.

For years, I continued working on projects in the evenings and on weekends, helping neighbors, friends, and community members with everything from minor repairs to major installations. In August 2025, I made the decision to go full-time with Bornmann Solutions. Now, I'm able to dedicate all my time and energy to serving homeowners in Buffalo, Jewett, Fairfield, Centerville, and the surrounding areas with the same level of care and attention to detail that I bring to my own home.

My Approach

I often tell people that I feel like an artist, and your home is the canvas. My passion is to create something beautiful that will bring you joy and satisfaction for a long time. I treat every job as a ministry of love. That means I give more value, more care, and more attention to detail than anyone expects—and people feel that difference.

My approach may be different from other handymen or contractors. I don't focus on how quickly I can finish a job or how many jobs I can squeeze into a day. Instead, I focus on the end result. Will it look nice? Will it last? Will the customer be happy with it? Those are the questions that guide every decision I make on a project. If something isn't right, I fix it. If there's a better way to do it, I take the time to do it that way. If a detail matters—even if no one else would notice—I make sure it's done correctly.

My favorite part of any job is the satisfaction I feel when everything has been completed and is working correctly, and I've done everything I can to improve whatever issues brought me there in the first place. There's something deeply rewarding about stepping back, looking at a finished project, and knowing that I've made someone's home a little better, a little more functional, and a little more beautiful.

My Community

My wife Deanna grew up in Buffalo, and we've made this area our home. We've been homeschooling our four children and serving the Jewett community and our church, Jewett First Baptist Church. I run the soundboard on Sundays and teach third through sixth graders at AWANA on Wednesdays. Being involved in the community isn't just something we do—it's who we are. When I work on your home, I'm not just another contractor passing through. I'm your neighbor, and I care about this community and the people in it.

I'm currently pursuing my electrical license to expand the services I can offer and to continue growing in my craft. Whether you need a minor repair, a major installation, or just someone who will show up on time and do the job right, I'm here to help. I believe in honest communication, fair pricing, and work that stands the test of time.
