NAP Verification Checklist
Follow this 10-step workflow to ensure your business information is consistent across all major platforms.
Step 1: Define Your Master Record
This becomes the "gold standard" for every listing. Make sure it's exactly how you want it everywhere.
Step 2-11: Verify Each Platform
2. Google Business Profile
Open PlatformVerify Name, Address, Phone, Website, Category, and Hours are correct. Fix anything that's off.
3. Yelp
Open PlatformSearch your business manually. Click "Edit business info" to submit corrections if needed.
4. Bing Places
Open PlatformVerify Name, Address, Phone, and Website. Fix anything that's off.
5. Apple Maps
Open PlatformSearch your business in Apple Maps app. Tap "Report an Issue" to submit corrections.
6. Facebook Page
Open PlatformOpen your business page → About section. Verify Name, Address, Phone, Website.
7. Instagram
Open PlatformGo to your profile → Edit Profile. Verify Name, Website, Contact options (phone/email).
8. Nextdoor
Open PlatformSearch your business on Nextdoor. Fix via "Claim Business" if needed.
9. Foursquare
Open PlatformSearch your business. Verify Name, Address, Phone. Suggest edits if needed.
10. YellowPages
Open PlatformSearch your business. Verify NAP. Claim listing if needed.
11. Better Business Bureau
Open PlatformSearch your business. Verify NAP. Update profile if accredited.
